Bright, light, and in stock today

A wireless headlight that puts a genuinely bright, true-colour field on the work without adding noticeable weight to your loupe frame. Built on a certified medical-lighting platform, with a lamp head of approximately 12 g.

If you need a headlight this week rather than this quarter, this is the model we hold in stock in Toronto.

Which loupes will this headlight fit?

The mount is a universal magnetic T-mount, and the kit also carries a headband, so the light goes onto the frames you already wear: the 2.5× flip-up loupes and the 3.5× flip-up loupes are both built to take it, and most standard loupe frames and headbands take the same T-mount. What to check before you order: the mount point on your existing frame, not the loupe barrel — a frame that clamps to a prescription insert in a different way will need its own bracket, and that is a question for us before the order rather than after it.

What is in the box at $349, and what is not?

Item Included Note
Lamp head (35,000 lux class at 40 cm, approx. 12 g) Yes The part that mounts on the frame
Universal magnetic T-mount Yes Fits the loupe frames listed above
Headband Yes For use without a loupe frame
Rechargeable battery Yes Hot-swap capable; USB-C charging
Spare battery Optional Listed as an optional add-on, not part of the $349
Camera, recording, built-in magnification No The loupes magnify; the light only lights the field

The specification list above is the whole of it, with nothing left to a footnote: the battery is rechargeable and hot-swap capable, and a spare is listed as optional rather than included. Nothing about the price changes with the frame you already own, and nothing extra is needed to wear it: mount it, charge it, and it works.

How does the Core compare with the Pro model?

Same platform, two positions on the range. The Core is the 35,000 lux class light measured at 40 cm, at roughly 12 g of lamp head, which is the version that suits a practice doing routine restorative and hygiene work all day. The Pro model adds a second battery for continuous use and a higher output, and it is the one to look at if you work long sessions without a charging break. Buy the Core when the light is a working tool you want to forget you are wearing; buy the Pro when a swapped battery mid-afternoon is the alternative you are trying to avoid.

What does the light add to the frame over a full day?

Roughly 12 g at the lamp head, before the battery — the figure that matters when the frame is already on your nose for eight hours. Weight is cumulative in a way that brightness is not: a heavy light is felt by mid-afternoon and starts changing how you hold your head over the patient, which is a worse outcome than a slightly dimmer field. That trade is why the weight is quoted in the specification list above rather than left to a photo.

How do you cost a headlight over its working life?

$349.00 is one line of capital, not a monthly cost. Spread across three years of clinical use at roughly 240 working days a year, it works out to about $116.33 a year, or just under 50 cents a working day — the same order as a box of gloves a month. If you are equipping several operatories, price the whole room in the clinic supply and cost planner rather than one lamp at a time, and open a facility and wholesale account when the order covers more than one chair. If the alternative is scheduling around a shared overhead light or working with a head mirror, the comparison is not the price of this lamp against another lamp; it is the price against the minutes you lose to poor light on every anterior restoration.

Key features

• Ultra-light lamp head (~12 g) — comfortable for all-day wear with loupes.

• 35,000 lux class output at 40 cm — a bright, true-colour field at working distance.

• Stepless touch dimming — adjust smoothly to any procedure instead of choosing between two settings.

• Brightness memory — returns to your last setting on power-on.

• Low-battery indicator — no surprise shutdowns mid-procedure.

• USB-C charging — the cable you already have.

Why the lux figure is quoted at a working distance, and why that matters

Light falls off with distance, so a lux figure on its own means nothing. Every figure we quote is measured at 40 cm — roughly the distance from your eyes to a patient's mouth when you are wearing loupes. This is the number that describes what you will actually experience.

If you see a headlight advertised with a very large lux figure and no stated distance, that figure was almost certainly measured as close to the emitter as possible. It is not comparable to ours, and it is not comparable to anything you will see while working.

Colour rendering is not a decoration

CRI describes how faithfully a light reproduces colour. Under a low-CRI light, tissue looks flatter and you lose the subtle differences — early decay, inflammation, the margins between materials — that you rely on to make a judgement. Our Core uses a high-CRI medical-grade LED; the Pro is specified at CRI ≥95.

Weight, because you wear it all day

The Core lamp head is approximately 12 g without the battery. On a loupe frame this is the difference between lighting that disappears into your working day and lighting that you are aware of by mid-afternoon.

What we can state plainly

• We quote lux at 40 cm and say so. Compare any other product on the same terms before you decide.

• The mount is a universal T-mount. It fits CliniEco Flip-Up Dental Loupes and most standard loupes and headbands, so you are not locked into one system.

• Battery behaviour is stated, not implied. If a light will not run continuously without a swap, we say so and tell you what solves it, rather than describing "all-day battery life" and leaving you to find out.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the CliniEco Wireless Headlight fit my loupes?
Yes. It uses a universal magnetic/T-mount and is compatible with CliniEco Flip-Up Dental Loupes and most standard loupes and headbands. No adapter is needed.
How bright is the headlight and how good is the light quality?
35,000 lux class output measured at a 40 cm working distance, with a high-CRI medical-grade LED for true-tissue colour. Brightness is stepless through touch control and the light returns to your last setting on power-on.
How heavy is the lamp head, and can I wear it all day?
The lamp head weighs approximately 12 g without the battery, which is light enough for all-day wear with loupes.
How is the battery charged and how long does a full charge take?
The battery is rechargeable over USB-C and reaches full charge in about 2.5 hours. A low-battery indicator warns you before shutdown, and spare hot-swap batteries are available as an option.
Is the headlight certified and what warranty applies?
It is CE and FCC certified and complies with IEC 62471 photobiological safety. CliniEco Medical provides a 2-year warranty with Canadian support. It is intended as a professional lighting aid and is not a diagnostic or therapeutic device.
