B — For gravity / non-vacuum sterilizers
Everything one sterilizer needs to keep its monitoring in order for a month — with 10% spare, so a busy week never leaves you short.
Why buy this kit from us
Sterilization compliance for clinics is all we do. So the kit comes with the parts most suppliers leave out:
- Quantities we can show you the working for — built on the RCDSO's daily testing rule, with spare so a busy week never leaves you short. No guessing at how much you actually use.
- The record sheet your province asks for — ready to print, free, no account, nothing to buy.
- A named person who can look up your lot number — email alina@clinieco.ca. Not a ticket queue.
- Any compliance question, any time — ask us; even if you never buy anything from us, we're glad to talk it through.
What it does not do: it won't tell you whether a cycle passed. That depends on how the sterilizer is loaded and run — that part stays with your team. We supply the monitoring and the guidance around it, not a guarantee of outcomes.
Questions clinics ask before buying
Do I need an incubator?
Yes. These indicators have to be incubated at 58 ± 2 °C before you can read them. A self-contained indicator does not need a reader, but it does need an incubator. If your clinic doesn't have one, we stock one — or email us and we'll help you sort it out rather than send you something you can't use.
How do I know this is the right kit for my sterilizer?
Kit B is for gravity / non-vacuum sterilizers — the ones without a vacuum pump. Pre-vacuum (Class B) units need a daily Bowie-Dick test and belong on Kit A instead.
How long does one kit last?
About a month for a clinic running one sterilizer on a normal schedule. The 50 biological indicators are sized on the RCDSO requirement of a test plus a control each day the sterilizer runs, with spare for the busier weeks.
Why is there no Bowie-Dick test in this kit?
Bowie-Dick tests air removal in the chamber, which only applies to pre-vacuum (Class B) sterilizers. On a gravity unit it is not required, so you are not paying for it.
Can I buy the items separately?
Yes — every item in the kit is sold on its own. The kit is for clinics that would rather not work out the quantities, not a way to lock you into a bundle.
What if I run more than one sterilizer, or more than 2 chairs?
Email us before ordering and we'll size it for your volume. The kit is built for a 1–2 chair clinic running one autoclave — it is not meant for 6+ chairs.
Where these numbers come from
- Biological indicator every day the sterilizer runs, plus a control test — RCDSO Standard 5542, p. 8 (and 5539, p. 23). That is the basis for 50 indicators a month, not 25.
- Bowie-Dick: pre-vacuum / Class B only, first cycle of each day — RCDSO 5542, p. 7; Public Health Ontario 7.18. A gravity sterilizer does not require it, which is why it is in Kit A only.
- Pouch count is based on a 3–4 chair practice running 400–750 pouches a month; we round up so you don't run short.
Verified 2026-10-08. If your provincial requirements differ, tell us — we'd rather correct the kit than have you rely on the wrong number.
What's in the kit
- Biological Indicator — 24-Hour Readout, 50-Pack × 1
- Steam Chemical Integrator — Class 5, 100-Pack × 1 (for your trays and large packs)
- Sterilization Pouch — Class 4 Dual Indicator, 200-pack box × 4
- Autoclave Tape — Sterilization Indicator Tape, 3-Roll Set × 1
No Bowie-Dick test pack — that test applies to pre-vacuum (Class B) sterilizers only. If yours is pre-vacuum, choose Kit A.
Designed for: 1–2 chairs · one gravity (non-vacuum) sterilizer · no dedicated infection-control staff
Not for: pre-vacuum (Class B) sterilizers — see Kit A · 6+ chairs (larger volume — ask us) · sterilizers other than steam
Covers — products, guidance, records, a specialist who can see your lot number
Does not cover — whether a cycle passes. That depends on how the sterilizer is operated and loaded — that part stays with your team.
Running a pre-vacuum (Class B) sterilizer? That is Kit A.
