Is the whole pad compostable?
Only the PLA backing is designed to biodegrade under industrial composting conditions; the absorbent core and top sheet are not compostable, so dispose of used pads through your facility's regular waste stream. Biodegradation depends on a commercial composting facility accepting PLA materials.
Can PLA underpads be autoclaved or washed?
No. These are single-use pads, and PLA softens above roughly 60 °C, so they cannot be autoclaved. Use once and discard.
