5. Quantities: building the annual figure
Two numbers drive most of the order. The first is sample volume: a laboratory handling 50 samples a day on 250 working days consumes about 12,500 transport bags and a similar number of primary containers, which is roughly $2,000 in bags and $1,100 in 90 mL cups at the prices above.
