CliniEco Medical Biological Indicator — 3-Hour Rapid Readout, Fluorescence, 50-Pack

Same-day fluorescence spore testing — results in 3 hours, not 24 hours

G. stearothermophilus ATCC 7953 · ISO 11138-3

Daily sterilization monitoring, same-day results

$199.99 for 50 self-contained rapid fluorescence biological indicators — about $4.00 per test. Each vial contains Geobacillus stearothermophilus ATCC 7953 spores (105–106 per vial) with a fluorescence enzyme substrate (α-glucosidase). After a normal steam cycle, the vial is activated and read in a compatible fluorescence reader: a clear fluorescent signal at 3 hours means the load passed — no waiting overnight.

Provincial dental regulators and RCDSO/PHO expect biological monitoring of every sterilizer; rapid systems let you run and close out monitoring the same day, and many clinics monitor daily when a rapid workflow makes it practical. One 50-pack covers about two months of daily testing for one sterilizer — with same-day results.

🛡️ Where Your BIs Come From — Traceability You Can Verify

🏭 Sourced from Certified Manufacturers

Our BIs are manufactured by ISO 13485-certified facilities — the same supply chain used by established sterilization brands. Full factory documentation available on request.

🧪 Standard Challenge Organism

Geobacillus stearothermophilus ATCC 7953 — the internationally accepted steam sterilization challenge organism, 105–106 spores per vial, verified per ISO 11138-1/3.

📋 Batch Traceability

Every pack carries lot-level traceability. Batch D-value and spore-count documentation available — ask us for the certificate of analysis for your lot.

Compliance

In Ontario, the RCDSO requires a biological indicator for each sterilizer on every day that it is used — daily. The CDC / AAMI ST79 weekly baseline applies in most US states. Provincial regulators and PHO expect documented biological monitoring.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a special reader for this product?
Yes — rapid fluorescence BIs are read by a fluorescence auto-reader, not a color-change incubator. Our CliniEco Rapid Reader (4-well, $1,499) reads these vials in 3 hours. If you don't have or want a fluorescence reader, choose our 24-hour self-contained BIs which need only a standard 55–60°C incubator.
How often should we run a spore test?
In Ontario, the RCDSO requires a biological indicator for each sterilizer on every day that it is used — daily. The CDC / AAMI ST79 weekly baseline applies in most US states. Because results come back the same day, daily monitoring fits a normal clinic workflow.
Which sterilizer cycles does it cover?
121°C / 250°F gravity-displacement and 132°C / 270°F vacuum-assisted steam cycles — the two cycles used by dental and medical office sterilizers.
How do I read the result?
Process the vial in a normal steam cycle, activate it, place it in the reader and read at 3 hours. A fluorescent signal indicates surviving spores (failure — quarantine the load and re-test); no fluorescence is a pass.
Can I see the factory documentation?
Yes — we provide ISO 13485 factory certificates, ISO 11138-3 compliance documentation and batch certificates of analysis on request. Email alina@clinieco.ca.
