Reusable hot and cold gel packs — one product that covers both therapies: microwave it for moist heat, freeze it for cold. Latex-free outer shell, with a 2-pack option so a clinic can keep one pack in the freezer and one near the microwave.
Where hot and cold packs get used
Reusable gel packs are standard equipment in first-aid rooms, physiotherapy and chiropractic clinics, sports medicine and athletic therapy settings, dental practices dispensing post-procedure cold therapy, long-term care homes and home-care kits. Cold therapy is used for recent swelling and soreness; moist heat is used for stiffness and muscle tightness. Having both in one item means a single line on the shelf covers both instructions.

How do I heat the pack safely?
Heat in short intervals and check between intervals rather than heating continuously. Overheating is the most common cause of a split seam, so the manufacturer's printed timings should be treated as the ceiling, not a starting point. For frozen use, lay the pack flat so the gel freezes evenly.
Should I use heat or cold?
Cold is generally used for recent injuries and swelling; moist heat is generally used for stiffness and muscle tightness. Where a clinician is directing care, follow the instruction given to the patient — the product supports either protocol, and the printed insert sets out both methods.
Can the same pack be used by different patients?
The outer shell wipes clean, so a clinic can keep a small pool of packs in circulation for assessment and trial use. Where a pack is issued to a patient for home use, issue it as that patient's own item rather than returning it to the shared pool.
How this differs from a disposable chemical cold pack
A single-use chemical pack is activated once and then discarded, which is convenient in an emergency kit but expensive to restock and impossible to re-use during a course of care. A reusable gel pack can be re-heated or re-frozen indefinitely, keeps a consistent shape against the treatment area, and can be cooled to a controlled, repeatable temperature — which is what makes it the usual choice for any setting that applies therapy more than once or twice.
Quality, documentation and institutional ordering
CliniEco Medical imports and distributes medical and personal-care supplies from our Toronto warehouse for clinics, dental practices, laboratories, long-term care homes and home-care organisations. Batch documentation is available on request, and a full specification sheet can be supplied for institutional orders.
Purchase orders and account purchasing are welcome. Mixed boxes, recurring supply plans and standing orders can be arranged through our wholesale desk, and larger institutional orders can be quoted for freight delivery. If your clinic issues packs to patients for home use and needs a case quantity, tell us your monthly issue rate and we will size the order to it.
Frequently asked questions
Which size should a first-aid room order?
A first-aid room normally keeps the small size for facial and hand use and the large size for back and shoulder use. Ordering both closes the whole first-aid requirement with one product line instead of two.
Can the pack be warmed in hot water instead of a microwave?
Where the printed instructions permit it, the pack can be warmed in hot water. Whichever method is used, heat it in stages and check the temperature before the pack touches skin.
How should I check a pack before re-using it?
Hold it up to the light and look for a stretched seam or a sheen of gel on the outside. A pack with a compromised seam should be retired rather than re-heated, because the next heating cycle will open it further.
How long should a pack stay on the skin?
Follow the printed usage instructions and use a cloth barrier between the pack and skin. Short applications with a barrier are the standard approach.
What if the gel pack arrives frozen?
That is normal in winter transit and does not damage the pack — allow it to return to room temperature and inspect the seams before first use.
Do you offer a 2-pack?
Yes. A 2-pack is available so a clinic can keep one pack in the freezer and one available for heating.
